Jim is a Wealth Advisor for Canter Wealth and acts as a fiduciary focused on helping clients accomplish their financial goals.
Prior to joining Canter Wealth, Jim worked at three leading financial service firms advising a wide range of clients, including high net-worth families and public employees in the Boston school districts.
Jim first entered financial services because he saw his family experience the challenges that come with not having an up-to-date estate plan. With some simple advice, his family could have avoided major obstacles.
Jim joined financial services to make a difference. His passion for helping people led him to become a teacher. During his free time, he can be found volunteering for organizations including the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Just In Time where he teaches financial wellness workshops to participants that are aged out of the foster care system.
Giving back to the community has always been an important focus to Jim. When he is not volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, and being in the outdoors any time that he can convince her to go.
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Suffolk University and later obtained his Certified Financial PlannerTM certification.
